– Club members, delivered iced water in a heat wave\u2026 participated in free meals service twice every month –<\/strong><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The volunteers club of HCG visited Jongno dosshouse in Doneui-dong, Jongno-gu to do voluntary service in July 25.<\/p>\n The club members donated 1,500 bottles of 500ml iced water to \u2018Doneui-dong Dosshouse Center\u2019 who supports Jongno dosshouse and delivered the iced waters to 500 residents of dosshouse with the staffs working in dosshouse center. At that day, despite of scorching heat over 35\u2103, all members worked with sweat running down in beads.<\/p>\n Doneuidong Dosshouse is the district around Jongno 3-ga station on the site of 1,000 pyeong, composed of 85 units with 745 slice rooms of 3.3\u33a1 (1 pyeong). The slice room is a small room of 0.7~1.2 pyeong just enough for one adult to sleep. As many of rooms are crowded in a narrow path, the ventilation or sanitation is very weak. About 60% of residents here are suffering from diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, joint diseases, liver diseases and have financial problems as most of them are beneficiaries of national basic livelihood or are working as a day laborer. [\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”40px”][vc_column_text] The volunteers club, taking this opportunity of supporting iced water, is scheduled to participate in free meals service for residents of Doneui-dong Dosshouse twice every month using the lunch time. Besides, this club has a plan to \u25b2 collect the used clothes for homeless persons \u25b2 help the disabled youth \u25b2 hold a fund-raising campaign to help the unprivileged.
