–\u00a0 Binding MOU for 10-car train set of locomotive to be ordered in 2020~2021 \u00a0 –<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Alexander Tolkachov, Director of Ukraine Railroad Corporation who visited Korea to attend the presidential meeting of OSJD (Organization for Cooperation between Railways) held in Seoul, visited the head office of HYUNDAI Corporation on April 10, 11:00 AM to have a meeting with Kim Won-kab (Vice chairman), Nam Geun-ho (Executive Director, Rolling Stock Material Division), Choi Yun-suk (Head of Commercial Rolling Stock Team), and Jeong Il-ryong (Section chief, Kiev Branch). This visit was realized as HYUNDAI Corporation is the only Korean company who has a cooperation relationship with Ukraine Railroad Corporation.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]\"\"<\/p>\n

Ukraine Railroad Corporation has all the rights of decision for railroad business in its country who has an absolute power to promote Ukraine railroad business. URC has concluded a supply contract for 90 cars of train in 2010 and made a maintenance contract in 2012 and has established a friendly relationship till now.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]\"\"<\/p>\n

Director Alexander Tolkachov said, \u201cThe cars operated in Ukraine through HYUNDAI are being operated usefully and our people are satisfied. In the beginning, we got the passenger rate of 80% and at present time, we are proud of 97~99% passenger rate.\u201d He added \u201cwe had a plan to purchase new high speed train in 2020 but it was postponed and now we have an additional purchase plan in 2020~2021. As the cars produced by HYUNDAI are being operated at present time, we are scheduled to review the cars of HYUNDAI ROTEM in priority with HYUNDAI Corporation based on the operation experiences.<\/p>\n

To his words, our vice chairman, Kim Won-Kab replied, \u201cWe at HYUNDAI Corporation understand technical conditions and administrative environment of railroad cars of Ukraine through the previous business process. Such accumulated experiences and knowhow of our company will be much helpful to develop the railroad cars of Ukraine. In that regard, the 3-year maintenance contract to conclude this time will be a good opportunity to verify the partnership between Ukraine Railroad Corporation and HYUNDAI Corporation once again.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]\"\"<\/p>\n

During this visit, URC and HYUNDAI concluded a Binding MOU to make HYUNDAI Corporation selected as priority bidder regarding to the purchase of 10-car train set of locomotive which is scheduled to purchase in 2020~2021. The corresponding MOU includes the contents that \u2018Regarding to the purchase of 10-car train set of locomotive, URC considers the financial suggestion of HYUNDAI Corporation\u2019, \u2018URC considers the maintenance proposal for 10-car train set of locomotive supposed to purchase between both companies\u2019, \u2018Regarding to the existing commuter cars in operation, both companies consider the possibility of modification business using a Korean finance and URC provides HYUNDAI Corporation with the related technical documents\u2019 etc.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the commercial rolling stock team of HYUNDAI Corporation is scheduled to promote the additional 3-year contract sign for the maintenance of 90 cars of locomotive of Ukraine and will starve to conclude additional maintenance contract available by 2027 through mutual discussion.<\/p>\n
