Hyundai Corporation made a successful conclusion of the contract on supply of 400 units of 27-seated large buses named \u2018All New Super AeroCity\u2019, which is currently produced by Hyundai Motor Co., to Turkmenavoulaglay on the 12th day of March this year. The scale of this contract amounts to about 60 million dollars (about 73.3 billion KRW) including relative parts in terms of the amount, being the second-largest in history following the supply of 500 large buses in 2016 out of the hitherto contracts concluded with Turkmenistan.<\/p>\n

Hyundai Corporation was the first in Korea to participate in the Turkmenistan public transport project in 2008. With the beginning of the supply of 530 buses, which were produced Hyundai Motor Co., to Turkmenistan in 2008, Hyundai Corporation has supplied a total of more than 1,500 vehicles to Turkmenistan up to the present covering 300 taxies in 2009, 200 buses in 2012, and 500 buses in 2016, etc.<\/p>\n

The newly contracted \u201cAll New Super AeroCity\u2019 this year is expected to run as a vehicle for an inter-city bus in Turkmenistan\u2019s Capital-Ashgarbat, and Hyundai Corporation is planning to make a delivery of the entire quantity in time for a commemorative event on the date of \u2018Declaration of Turkmenistan as a Neutral State\u2019 to make bus service available.<\/p>\n

Keeping up this momentum, the commercial vehicle & rolling stock team is pushing ahead with the supply of an estimated 3,600 vehicles in total like a bus and taxi, etc. on a long-term basis according to Turkmenavoulaglay\u2019s vehicle purchase plan, along with the aim for the additional supply of 100 electric buses in 2021, etc.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the department head, Choi, Yun-suk of the commercial vehicle & rolling stock team, who departed Korea for Turkmenistan on the 12th day of last month for this contract accomplishment, displayed a Korean corporation man\u2019s potential most satisfactorily by making his assigned task successful despite a difficult situation like being isolated for as many as 22 days in there due to COVID-19 outbreak.<\/p>\n
