Hyundai Corporation and Bit Computer succeeded in exporting total package of HIS(Hospital Information Solution) to Kazakhstan. It is the first success in Korea.

On 4th(local time), 'Hyundai Corporation HIS consortium' concluded a contract with NMH(National Medical Holding), which is Kazakhstan's hospital management agency. The contract was for supplying 'total package', and it was worth of 5.7 million dollars(7 billion won).As a single HIS export, this is the biggest scale in Korea.For this contract, Hyundai Corporation had formed 'Hyundai Corporation HIS consortium' with Kazakhstan's local IT company and Bit Computer, which is Korea's HIS-specialized company.

This project is supplying total package to Astana Medical School and national hospitals administered by NMH. These are the best hospitals in Kazakhstan for their scale, medical service, and the number of patients. The package include OCS(Order Communication System), EMR(Electronic Medical Record), PACS(Picture Archiving & Communication System), LIS(Laboratory Information System), ERP(Enterprise Resources Planning), and these will be constructed in a year, until December, 2011.

This success was the very fine result of cooperation between Hyundai Corporation's outstanding global sales power and Bit Computer's rich experience and expertise. Especially, Bit Computer's highly-developed technologies were great help for defeating world-class IT competitors and concluding the contract successfully.

Hyundai Corporation acquired a very valuable opportunity for leading Kazakhstan's hospital modernization plan. President Noh, the CEO of Hyundai Corporation said, "Our next goal is expanding our business in Kazakhstan through connecting the system of Kazakhstan's hospitals and Health Ministry.Moreover, we will expand our business to other CIS countries around Kazakhstan."

For this contract, our company is going to generalize the whole project as the main contractor. Bit Computer will take charge of solution development and supply, and Kazakhstan's local IT company will support Bit Computer and take care of maintenance.
