The chemical division supplies petrochemical products such as synthetic resin, synthetic rubber and bunker c-oil to clients all over the world through its global network.
It also has the resources to secure a steady supply of intermediary products such as olefin which is a key ingredient in cracking naphtha. Other items handled by the division include items indispensable in daily life such as plastic goods, textiles, tires, synthetic rubber products, adhesives, agricultural and industrial film, construction materials, pipes, and electric components.
The division plans to boost exports to China, Southeast Asia and Africa by utilizing its overseas network to the fullest and focus on making greater inroads into Europe via Turkey. As a part of its comprehensive strategy, the division will continue to increase exports by developing new items and aggressive marketing.
In the process, it hopes to make Hyundai a global chemical trader with a long-term vision emphasizing business relationships more than immediate gains.
