Hyundai Corporation marked its 30th anniversary last year. Since its establishment, Hyundai Corporation has had world-wide business accomplishment ranging from exports of plant, ocean-going vessels, consumer electronics and oil & gas exploration in Marib, Yemen to recent establishment of Qingdao Hyundai Shipbuilding.
Pursuing diverse business expansion, Hyundai Corporation constructed PT. Hyundai Inti. Development, an industrial park with perfect infrastructure in Indonesia at the beginning of the 1990’s.
In early 90’s, many Korean manufacturing companies have invested in South-East Asia to expand their overseas export market as well as to enhance their global competitiveness by securing global production base.
In the wake of this overseas investment boom in Indonesia, Hyundai Corporation has established, PT. Hyundai Inti. Development as a joint-venture with Lippo Group, reputable Indonesian business group.
PT. Hyundai Inti. Development has constructed an Industrial park of 200 ha in Bekasi Regency, Jawa Barat Province, the suburbs of Jakarta City, and has provided plots of industrial real estate at a competitive price and with an excellent location for Korean manufacturing companies.
Starting to provide the industrial lots in 1991, PT. Hyundai Inti. Development currently has 104 tenants companies from 8 countries including 26 Korean companies, all of which are operating actively at their full capacities, and it is firmly believed that they are considerably contributing to the economic and industrial development in both countries, Korea-Indonesia.
Based on our accumulated experience, we will make sure to exert our best efforts to support the tenant companies and enable them to operate most effectively and competitively. Furthermore, we will exert all possible efforts to encourage them, by trying to make better infrastructures, to operate in more productive environment.
We strongly believe that our enthusiasm would be a significant help for the business success of our tenant companies in Indonesia as well as a contribution to the Korean economic development.
