After successfully winning the bid to host the 2010 World Expo, Shanghai has made necessary changes to become an economic hub based on the Chinese government’s long-term vision to transform it into one of the four pivotal cities in economy, trade, finance and logistics in the Asian Pacific region. Out of 500 largest companies in the world, over 450 have a presence in the city. Needless to say, Shanghai is the largest economic city within China.

Since its establishment in 1992, the Shanghai office of Hyundai Corporation has contributed to furthering trade between Korea and China and in that process has experienced remarkable growth. We are in charge of importing and exporting ships, machinery and steel and expanding our business area into intermediary trade of steel, petrochemicals and IT using China’s position as the world’s factory.

In the future, we will advance further efforts to become a solid long-term business partner to not only our Chinese clients but also to our clients across the world based on a tight collaborative relationship. Thank you for your attention.
