Mobility Solution Team

From Korea

Q1. Please introduce yourself.

A1. My name is Jungho Bae, working in the Mobility Solution Team. Before joining the headquarters, I worked at the Moscow branch. Currently, I am responsible for the sales and market development of lubricants and battery products produced both domestically and internationally. My main role involves sourcing a variety of aftermarket products manufactured by oil refineries and automotive lead-acid battery manufacturers in various countries and selling them to markets around the world.

Q2. How did you come to join Hyundai Corporation?

A2. After graduating from university in Moscow and completing my military service, I began my professional career at a plant construction site in Turkmenistan. I had always hoped to work in an overseas sales position where I could utilize my Russian language skills. When I heard that the Moscow branch was hiring, I boarded a plane from Turkmenistan to Russia for an interview. Fortunately, I received a positive result and was able to start working at the Moscow branch.

Q3. You have worked at both the branch office and the headquarters. What differences have you noticed between the two?

A3. I believe the greatest advantage is the opportunity to gain a wider range of experiences than at the headquarters. Working at an overseas branch provides the chance to handle various products and acquire specialized knowledge about the local market. In addition, as a sales representative in the field, you can visibly see the results of your efforts, which makes the work even more rewarding

Q4. What aspects of your experience working at the branch office have been helpful in your current role, and how have you utilized them?

A4. As I experience various items and local markets, I think that even if the items handled by the head office are limited, I can incorporate my diverse experiences to develop new business opportunities. In addition, since the branch office collaborates with various departments of the head office, I can learn new sales skills from many capable colleagues and make that know-how my own.

Q5. Do you have any advice or words you would like to share with international students who are preparing to find a job?

A5. I believe the greatest advantage of working at Hyundai Corporation is the opportunity for growth from the early stages of your career. You will experience rapid development by gaining valuable experiences that are hard to come by elsewhere.

Another strength is the extensive networking opportunities and overseas experiences available through our many international subsidiaries and branches. The company provides an environment where you can lead self-directed projects and manage your own product lines while traveling and growing around the world.

For those who seek these valuable experiences and want to develop themselves, I highly recommend joining us.
