Hyundai Corporation is set to penetrate the Indian eco-friendly energy market, home to 1.4 billion people, through an Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) model. Under this strategic partnership, Hyundai will apply its brand to products manufactured by external specialists, while Purever, a local water treatment expert, will manage distribution and after-sales services. The two companies aim to dominate the market by supplying high-efficiency heat pumps to households, hospitals, hotels, and industrial facilities, aligning with India’s shift away from power-hungry traditional heating and cooling systems.

According to a report by the Indian media outlet Republic World on the 3rd, Purever has partnered with Hyundai Corporation to introduce advanced heat pump technology to the Indian market. This collaboration combines Hyundai’s extensive experience in high-efficiency HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems with Purever’s deep understanding of the local commercial landscape. The focus is on providing a new solution that ensures consistent climate control while significantly reducing energy consumption compared to conventional systems.

Beyond simply selling products, the two partners are concentrating on practical groundwork for a smooth market landing, including training installation personnel, establishing long-term service systems, and analyzing regional technology adoption speeds and educational needs. This is interpreted as a strategic move by Hyundai Corporation to meet the growing demand from Indian residential and commercial users for cost-effectiveness, long-term reliability, and clean technology.

Sahil Garg, Director of Purever, stated, “Hyundai Corporation already possesses the technological prowess, and the Indian market is ready to embrace it. The timing is perfectly aligned.”

Purever is an affiliate of India’s Jyoti Group, which has over 30 years of expertise in stainless steel engineering. Specializing in high-quality stainless steel water tanks and purification systems, Purever is known for its durability and eco-friendliness. The company has been actively seeking expansion into the energy efficiency sector, previously partnering with European firms such as Italy’s Ferroli to introduce smart heating solutions.
