“Studying Korean has enhanced my loyalty to the company, and this opportunity increases it further.”

I met Assistant Manager Sebinci, from the Ashkhabad branch.

Please introduce yourself.

My name is Sebinci, and I’m from the Ashkhabad branch. I’m one of the starting members of the Ashkhabad branch, having been hired only two months after its establishment. I’m responsible for the business of the automobile team, managing car dealers and striving to contact new customers. We deal with polymers and the brand business.

It seems that you can speak Korean.

I study Korean for fun. After being hired by Hyundai Corporation, I wanted to understand more of Korea, where the headquarters are located. The assistance and support from Lee Jae-hwan, who was then head of the branch, was a big help. I started learning Korean for fun, but it has been a great help in my work. Now I have a better understanding of headquarters, and I’m able to smoothly communicate with Koreans.

How did you study?

I was in a good environment where I was able to freely practice Korean, so I was able to study relatively easily. I sometimes speak in Korean with headquarters staff, and watching the groupware is a big help. In particular, I’ve read the newsletters, which help me understand Korean, the headquarters and the company. It seems that I love my company more, now that I’m learning Korean.

Please tell your comment on visiting the headquarters.

It was so much fun! This visit will be a big help in my work and in my personal life. As I’ve told you before, I personally study Korean. So, I’ve been able to speak and listen to Koreans face-to-face. Even this short trip has improved my Korean. The atmosphere and people at headquarters were much better than I thought they would be, based on reading the newsletter. This was my first visit, and I hope I’ll have more opportunities to visit in the future.*
