After completing the preparation for the EPC project for Termotasajero S.A. Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant in Colombia ordered in January last year, we had a groundbreaking ceremony.

In the groundbreaking ceremony held at 4pm local time on March 19(Tue.) in Cucuta, Colombia, people concerned with this project including Kim Jung-Rae, the CEO of Hyundai Corporation, Kim Ok-Chul, the Vice President of Hyundai Engineering and Jose David Montoya, the Mayor of Termotasajero attended.

The construction period is 36 months from the beginning of the construction. A coal-fired thermal power plant with the maximum capacity of 160MW will be constructed in Cayetano, Norte de Santander located in the northeast of Colombia. It is expected this power plant wil contribute greatly to the stabilization of electric power supply in this region

It is said that this project has been achieved by a close cooperation between Santiago branch, Bogota branch and Plant Team and by the one-step-faster intelligence and negotiating power that contribute to receiving trust from the orderer.

Plant Team has a plan to spur to expand large-scale EPC project-focused overseas business and develop South American markets by strengthening mutual cooperation with Hyundai Engineering. *
